FAQ
What is the difference between refined and cold-pressed oils?
Refined oils are processed using high heat and chemicals to remove impurities and extend shelf life, but this process also removes natural nutrients, aroma, and flavor.
Cold-pressed oils from A Seed Remedies are extracted at low temperatures without chemicals, preserving the oil’s vitamins, antioxidants, and natural flavor making them healthier and more nutritious.
Why are Seedremedies cooking oils expensive?
Our oils are made using traditional wooden-press (cold-pressed) methods in small batches from premium, chemical-free seeds. Unlike mass-produced refined oils, every drop retains its natural nutrients and purity. The cost reflects quality, sustainability, and the care we put into delivering unrefined, chemical-free oils directly from trusted farmers.
What is the difference between virgin and wood pressed coconut oil?
Virgin coconut oil is extracted from fresh coconut milk, usually through a cold process, giving it a mild aroma and smooth texture. Wood-pressed coconut oil is made from dried coconuts (copra) using a wooden churner at low temperature. Both are natural, but A Seed Remedies Wood Pressed Coconut Oil has a stronger coconut aroma and retains more antioxidants due to its traditional extraction method.
Does it solidify and melt on its own?
Yes. Coconut oil naturally solidifies below 24°C and melts above it. This is a completely natural process and does not affect the oil’s quality or taste. You can gently warm the oil if it solidifies — there is no need to refrigerate or worry about spoilage.
Can coconut oil be used for oil pulling?
Absolutely! A Seed Remedies Wood Pressed Coconut Oil is 100% pure and chemical-free, making it ideal for oil pulling. Regular oil pulling helps remove toxins, improve oral hygiene, and promote overall health. Use one tablespoon of coconut oil, swish for 10–15 minutes, and rinse with warm water.
